case file : ST PAUL'S SCHOOL CEMETERY 1856

About St. Paul’s School
St. Paul’s School began in 1856 as an all-boys Episcopal boarding school. The School sits on 2,000 acres of land in Concord, NH, on the site of an old mill community. Today, the school, known affectionately as “Millville” is a co-ed school for grades 9-12, with approximately 515 students from all over the U. S. and around the world. The students and faculty all live on the grounds during the school year. In 2005-2006, the School will be celebrating its 150th Anniversary. Alumni of St. Paul’s School include Sen. John Kerry, cartoonist Garry Trudeau, actor Judd Nelson, and hockey legend Hobey Baker. Several alumni, faculty, and staff, and their families are buried in the School cemetery. Several former Rectors, or headmasters, are also buried here.

Directions
From either North Main Street or South Main Street in Concord, turn onto Pleasant Street and follow Pleasant Street until it turns into Hopkinton Road, just past the entrance to St. Paul’s School. This is also known as Rt. 202/9.

Continue a little further down Hopkinton Road and there will be two cemetery entrances on your left. There are no signs for either cemetery, but the first entrance is for the City of Concord Cemetery, and the next is the St. Paul’s School Cemetery. The two cemeteries are adjacent to each other, separated by a white fence. Turn into the second entrance and park on the side of the cemetery road.
